    This is a 1960s Syroco Wood Mare & Foal Horse Equestrian Molded Wall Plaque Syracuse Ornamental Co USA. Both the mare and foal are beautifully molded with fine life-like detail. There is a break to the mare’s back leg that has been carefully repaired to the point that it is not easily seen. The plaque measures 17 1/2 inches long and 14 inches tall. The piece has the Syroco Wood foil label and stamped Syracuse N.Y. Ornamental Co/ Made in USA. The Syracuse Ornamental Company, known as Syroco, was an American manufacturing company based in Syracuse, New York. They were best known for their molded wood-pulp products that resembled hand-carving. Smoke and pet free home.
