    Description

China MS-701 Super Tank Chinese Camouflaged Wind-Up Tin Tank in its Original Box,  MIB. This Made in China Tin Tank must have been an early arrival during the thaw in relations of America with China, 1980's? Wind the turret clockwise and the tank's turrent spins 360 degrees as it moves side to side. ON/OFF switch in good working order.
We got this more than 20 years ago and have been told it's from the late 60's? Really? We're not convinced? I would imagine this was produced during the early eighties which was a particularly great period on Chinese tin toys. When the Chinese were blantantly knocking off many Japanese & German toys without any concern over property rights. China did produce some very nice pieces during this period if you can find them. After this period their toy production became a bit more shoddy as they moved into compromising high technology over the entire globe with no one seeming to care as long as our athletic shoes, cell phones and the paper towels at Wal-Mart continued to be
    as cheap as possible
. Free-Dumb! Thanks for looking. We hope this finds you and your family well and in good spirits during this difficult period in our Nation's history. Stay safe, Uncle Buddy
Uncle Buddy's a toy fan from way back is the original owner of 90% of what we will be listing over the next few months w/ additional items having been bought over the years at toy shows in and around Southern Illinois, Chicago, and East St. Louis where Uncle Buddy grew up & at the Eastern Division TCA shows at the York County Pennsylvania Fairgrounds where Uncle Buddy lived and worked for many years after serving in the Korea War. Uncle Buddy recently moved to California and has asked us to help him find a good home for these Louis Marx & Lionel train pieces he has loved and taken care of for over 50+ years as well as his vintage toy collection from overseas. Most, if not all of these older pieces have served duty for years and years under our family Christmas trees since the late 40's.
