The icon of the Mother of God Hodegetria comes from Peter and Paul Church of Halynka village, Kletsk district, Minsk region. The iconographic depiction of the Virgin Mary holding the Holy Child called 'Hodegetria' (literally from Greek “She who shows the Way”) was very common in the Eastern Christian art. In Gospel the Christ says about himself, “I am the way” and the Mother of God points this way and helps to go through it. The panel depicts the figure of Mary which is slightly turned to the Holy Child on Her left arm. The right hand of the Mother of God is turned to the Son in prayer gesture. In the left hand of the Christ is a scroll as a symbol of gospel, and with the right hand He blesses.
The icon of Saint Anthony of Padua comes from the Archangel Mikhail Church of Miratsichy village, Karelichy district, Hrodna region. Antony of Padua (1195-1231) was one of the most famous disciples of St. Francis of Assisi, the preacher and patron of Padua. The sacrificial altar occupies the left half of the composition. On its edge an adolescent Jesus is unstably sitting with the orb in his left hand, and with the right hand he blesses. On the table is a reliquary for the holy relicts reminding about one of the St. Antony's miracles. The Saint preacher with a rose in his hand is standing next to Jesus.
