    Description

    This authentic French vintage oval cast iron competition award plaque dated 1933 by the Lancheres Breeding Syndicate, located in the Somme region of northern France, is very rare. The competition was for Poulinieres (broodmares). The cast iron plaque is in the original green with gold gilt raised letters. Embossed design around the edge of the oval plaque. Hook at the top for hanging on display at the breeding barn by the owner. The plaque makers name - G. Defobse, from Le Mans is noted on the lower edge of the plaque.  Lovely displayed on a wall alone or in a grouping.  Measures 9.5 inches by 5.75 inches, excluding loop at the top. Great gift for those who love horses!
